To be a Friskis&Svettis Leader means helping people to get fit, being involved in their health and wellbeing and having a
“lust for life!” It also means that you find a new compelling leisure activity, meet new challenges and meet new people
and a whole new network of friends. As a Leader you become part of the team in Aberdeen, spreading the word about
exercising the ‘Swedish Way’ and part of the even bigger network of Leaders of F&S across Scandinavia and Europe.
You also are given your own stage in Sweden’s biggest sports association that is in a class of its own.
Want to know more? This is what is involved:
- Basic education in anatomy, physiology, leadership skills, the F&S concept, music and movement, programme planning….and lots more!
- A Basic Education Course in TWO stages. The first stage is planned for autumn 2008 in Stockholm (2nd – 5th October 2008) and the second stage in early November in Brussels.
- Continual opportunities for personal development within F&S and a chance to broaden your education.
- Annual feedback on your programmes and leader role.
- A chance to develop your creative talents – you make your own jym programme from your choice of music and exercises.
- Training in how to be a Leader and how to gain the confidence to appear in front of lots of people.
- The opportunity to develop personally within the organisation.
- The stimulation and energy that comes from taking a class.
- Access to all the Associations resources, both locally and internationally, during your training and as a qualified Leader
Once you have finished the training and passed the theory and practical exams you become an accredited leader. You receive
your Friskis&Svettis Diploma and can teach classes.
